Privacy Policy and Land Acknowledgement
The short: we don’t share nor sell your data. We don’t run ads nor collect any sneaky information about you without your consent. By submitting forms, you acknowledge that the information you submit may be stored in a database and accessed by our website administrators.
We are not bound by HIPPA laws or privy to client-patient privilege. However, we still feel that treating your data and privacy as if we were is important. As such, we limit the use of third-party systems and ask that you take care when submitting forms—since that data may be sent via email which, by nature, is not encrypted and beyond our reach of being able to secure.

Land Acknowledgement
Unstruck Sanctuary services are based in the White River watershed, just outside of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We are privileged to reside on the ancestral lands of the Osage, Quapaw, Očhéthi Šakówiŋ, and Caddo who tended this land for thousands of years before European settlers began displacing and trying to erase them. We also acknowledge that a portion of the Trail of Tears runs through our town, and that the Cherokee, Choctaw, Muscogee (Creek), Chickasaw and Seminole Nations passed through what is now known as Arkansas during this forced removal.
This website is hosted on computers residing on the unceded ancestral homeland of the Ramaytush Ohlone, the pre-colonial inhabitants of the San Francisco peninsula, and an integral and active community in the Bay Area and beyond. We pay our respects to the pre-colonial ancestors of the land we occupy, utilize, and visit—and to the descendants, elders, relatives, and Spirits of their communities—and affirm their sovereign rights as First Peoples.

Third-Party services
We use Calend.ly to allow folx to book directly and make payments. Once you complete a booking, we receive an email and calendar invite with the information you’ve submitted. You can find Calendly’s privacy policy here. We store a backup of that booking in a private spreadsheet hosted by Google Sheets. From their privacy policy: Data is encrypted in-transit and at-rest.
Who we share your data with
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service—Wordpress’s Akismet system. Like us, they do not sell nor share any of your data. You may view their privacy policy here.
If you submit a request to book, waiver, or contact form directly on this Site, the contents will be submitted via email to our administrator and to the contact email address entered into the form.
Authorized Site Administrators Only: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you submit a request to book, waiver, or contact form directly on this Site, we will retain the information submitted and its metadata up to 3 years.
Authorized Site Administrators Only: For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an administrative account (login) on this Site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
